Chunky Chain & Purple
I didn’t want to make one of those traditional chain necklaces which I could have done here. I wanted something totally different looking – and chunky at the same time. Sometimes I’m a little obsessed with making chunky 
I created this necklace to have a little steam punk look to it and also to have some length because I often make jewellery that will sit with the higher-necked clothing; this one will sit over the clothing. And since purple has been the trend for a few years now, the chunky purple beads were calling to me.
In a small way this necklace says ‘traditional’ styling, but in a bigger way this necklace is trendy. I’m liking the uniqueness of this.
